It doesn't matter that English is difficult, that others had more experience—it doesn't matter: you just hang in there. Bravo!

I Don't Know What I Got Myself Into!
I'll relate an adventure that happened me. When it happened, I didn't like it. But now, I take it with a smile. I'll begin.

It was Sunday, June 29th, the day of my arrival in Halifax. At the Halifax Airport, I became acquainted with two students who would study with me . . . I thought. We came downtown together. After one hour in the shuttle and taxi, we finally arrived at the university. But it was their university, not mine. I took the same cab to go at my university, Mount Saint Vincent. So, my training period in English began. It's for this reason that I arrived late Sunday, June 29th.

The two students were coming to Halifax to study the English language, but at another university. I don't know if their immersion is going well. . .

What a Trip!
Last weekend, I went to visit Cape Breton, especially Cabot Trail. I was with Louise and Dany. I must say what my two travelling companions are is shape, but it's not the case for me. Anyway, I'll begin telling you my adventure. It's not extraordinary but, when I think it, I find it funny.

Last Thursday evening, we went by car until a small village near Chéticamp. Friday morning, after we rested, we was staying for the day. We went to Cape Breton National Park and we decided to do a trail... What trail? The SKYLINE (7 kilometres). It was fine by me. I was ready.

The trip began... We were hiking in the forest. It was beautiful. We walked until we reached a gigantic cliff. What a nice view from the top of this cliff! We decided to go down. The view was even more beautiful. I looked up at the cliff: Wow! From the bottom, it was very big and very high. When I went up, I thought I was going to die. When I arrived at the top, I broke down and I was red like a tomato. But after a few minutes, I was ready for continue. We walked very fast during 1½ hour. The two girls had initiated me. I was tired, but I liked it very much. I would like go back next year. The night, I slept immediately when I put my head on the pillow. I needed the rest.

We finished our trip by visiting the Fortress in Louisbourg. It was wonderful. It was less tiring than the Cabot Trail. Despite the weariness, I liked my trip. It's a good memory that I will bring back with me to Québec.
