Weather Permitting
You will never enjoy Halifax if you never go downtown! But did you know that two kinds of wind live in this city? "Warmer" and "Cooler." Those two bodies give us a lot of trouble but, at the same time, they give us such a good feeling! If you plan to go downtown, you probably have to bring your sweater, your bikini, your shoes and your sandals because of "Warmer" and his brother "Cooler." For dinner, you will find some nice restaurant or bar where you can sit and eat outside, but you will probably have to finish it inside—always for the same reason. . . Finally, if you go downtown, it's a must that you have someone to keep you warm, because Cooler is probably not your type of guy!

Risk
For the first time in my life, I did something for myself and forgot about the obstacles that I usually put in my way. After a very nice ride on a tour boat called the Mar II, I decided to go back for another ride, but this time alone. . . I'm sure that you all know why! I told myself that,"We decided as a group to take some ‘risk' to learn English." And this was the biggest and the best risk that I could ever take. . . You probably see what I mean. Since this time, I have had a private guide. I have met a lot of English speakers and I have learned so many new things. I will try to take other risks in the future.

On board the Mar II
Editor's Note: For those who aren't quite sure what Claire (our "Little Mermaid") is talking about, just take a look at this photo taken during her first trip on the Mar II. Notice the handsome sailor to the left and, moreover, notice on whom his attention is instead of on the sails. The defense rests, but we were all cheering for you, Claire.
