Best Memory of Nova Scotia
Everything was great—the people, the places to see, the landscapes—but most of all, I emjoyed the tribute to The Eagles on July 19 in Dartmouth. Thanks, girls, and thanks, Maurice, for your cheerful nature!

A Tribute to the Eagles
What a great night it was! On Saturday, July 19, a band form Toronto was performing in Darmouth, Nova Scotia. I heard the advertisement on Q104 and since nothing else was going on, I couldn't get out of my mind the words "The Eagles." So, Ada, Francine and I finally found the place after a few phone calls and got there right away.

For me, it was very exciting because I've always loved The Eagles. Last summer, I saw them at the Molson Centre in Montreal. It was fabulous! The music, the sound and the performers' voices hit a chord in my heart, my mind, my soul...

To watch this tribute to The Eagles
To hear the Eagles'songs during a whole night
To dance to live Eagles' music
did it for me
as if I were home in my mind
It was great

Halifax: A Captivating City
All the people I've known who've come to Halifax before me told me it's a wonderful city, but I couldn't have imagined just how great it is until I saw it for myself.

The people are what amazed me the most. They are so deeply involved into their culture. We can smell it everywhere we go. It's not only history, historic sights, museums, the famous Tattoo show with all the colourful kilts, and so on. It's also a delightful blend of old and new.

We can also feel it in traditional houses and modern skycrapers. We can catch a glimpse of all the different kinds of ships in the harbour. The affection for the folklore and the receptiveness for the new styles are as strong for the young as they are for the old. But most of all, Haligonians are proud to belong to this heartfelt city which arouses the senses just like an incredible potpourri of blue (ocean) and green (trees, grass, flowers).

Aries (Q-Tips # 6 & 7)
You trust your intuition more than your reason, so read between the lines. Say what you feel when you feel it. If you like shopping, go ahead, it's good for the soul. Look at both sides of every situation and surround yourself with those who truly love you (like someone who wants to sell you for a few bucks). Advice: Don't let anyone rush you or push you into anything. Don't turn the curves of life too fast; you're gonna break something.

Taurus (Q-Tips # 2, 11, 14 & 16)
Lovers and close friends take centre stage. Watch out for the length of your skirts. You especially enjoy loud music in a big van (with a pillow and a blanket). You have strong sensual and physical desires just now. Be punctual because you're gonna miss the trip (or the beginning of the class). Advice: Try something new: a new city, a new boyfriend, a new pick-up, a new bar, a new beer, and LOOK BEFORE YOU LEAP! Do your best and. . . the rest...

Gemini (Q-Tips # 3, 8 & 12)
Take things as they are. Matters are proceeding as planned. Take time to enjoy life's pleasures. Use discretion and patience. This is a good time to build your body: stop smoking, go hiking without forgotting the "dragging." Enthusiasm and self-assurance bring results. A promotion is on the horizon. Advice: Don't close yourself off from the help and guidance of others. "Eh mother! Leave the kids alone! la, la, la, la, la" (Pink Floyd).

Leo (Q-Tip #15)
Any personal growth you achieve now will be linked to self-impression. Rewards and paybacks are just around the corner. Seek intimacy and personal happiness in all you do. You've done your job, so you can now rest on your laurels (for more than 2 hours). Advice: Let others pamper you. Take a vacation (in August maybe) and stay away from responsibilities (especially women from Québec).

Virgo (Q-Tips #1 & 9)
Comprise brings happiness. Are you seeing matters objectively just now? Try to see the other side. The people around you are more set in their ways now. Don't let them drag you down! Advice: Postpone arguments and debates until they can open their minds. Don't be foolish or self-centered, but don't believe all you hear, either. There's lots of posturing in the air. Accept favours and be kind, but always listen to your higher self.

Scorpio (Q-Tips # 10 & 13)
A job well done delivers rewards; laziness is punished. Make peace: Don't nit-pick on others too harshly. Politeness brings success. Stop being overly sensitive to the needs of others at work. Keep your ears open and read all the fine print. You look like an angel, so stay away from the devil. Advice: Act now without fear: Shift in high gear!

Sagittarius (Q-Tip # 4) Matter overpowers the mind. Desires rule. Beware of your dark side. The pursuit of materialistic or sensual pleasures may taint your ability to think clearly. Your friends are wishy-washy now. Do your part to say what's real, what's right, and what you feel. Let go of the past and resolve to turn over a new . . . watch. Advice: You're feeling a desire to escape, to withdraw into yourself. Shrug off your current lack of focus and work diligently to achieve your goals!

Capricorn (Q-Tip # 5)
Excuse me but . . . your man is on your horizon. Reject negative people and appeal to others' sense of fair play. This is a good time for travelling and getting away (but no more than 10 kilometres). Don't give in to intimidation or pressure. . . ASK questions and let them repeat if it is necessary. Advice: No one wants to waste time so, can you repeat, please? Take the time to tell men what they mean to you.
