The Never-Ending Bagel Saga hat's for breakfast? Of course, #%$*! bagels again! For the first week and a bit, everyone seemed to be o.k. with the continental breakfast (juice, coffee & tea, assorted pastries, fruit and bagels. But then one morning, the smell of bacon and eggs teased everyones senses. That's when all hell broke loose! "Why can't we have a hot breakfast? Are we second class citizens?" Not so far as I was concerned! These were some of the questions I was asked via Maurice. After many phone calls and discussions—some a little tense—with our food service staff, I was able to negotiate a hot breakfast every other day. I assumed everyone was happy with this change in menu as I heard no other (well-founded) complaints. I hope your experiences here in Nova Scotia have been as rewarding for you as mine has been in meeting all of you. Please keep in touch and "spread the word" about our program here at MSVU. Take care! |
